Akdeniz University, Faculty of Letters, Archaeology Department. Director of Patara Excavations
He has been a member of the Scientific Committee of Patara Excavations since 1988. From 2015 to 2018 he was the vice president of the excavations. Since 1992, he has been the field director of the Harbour Street excavations until 2019. He was also the field director of the city gate, the theater and some buildings of the city. His areas of specialization are ancient architecture and urbanism. He received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Akdeniz University and lectured at the Archaeology Department of the same university. He is currently working at the same university.

He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Department of Classical Archaeology. He received his Ph.D. from the Archaeological Institute of the Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn, Germany. He founded the Department of Archaeology as an assistant at Atatürk University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and became an associate professor in 1976 and a professor in 1983. He was the head of the Archaeology Department, the head of the Archaeology and Art History Department and the head of the Atatürk Principles Department. He founded the Archaeology Departments of Atatürk University in 1973 and Akdeniz University in 1990 and the Lycian Civilizations Research Center in 1992. He started the Patara Excavations in 1989.

He completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Akdeniz University. He specializes in urbanism and Hellenistic and Roman plastic arts. He has been a member of the Patara excavation team since 1991. He has participated in the excavations of the Harbour Baths and the Underground Chamber Tombs.

Havva Işık graduated archaeology at Istanbul University in the 1970s. She then completed his doctorate at Philipps-University Marburg in Germany. In 1988, when She returned to Turkey, She started working at Ataturk University in Erzurum. Since 1988, She has participated in the excavations of the ancient city of Patara. In 1990, She was one of the founders of the Department of Archaeology at Akdeniz University in Antalya. From 2009 until 2024, She was the head of Patara excavations.

Erkan Dündar has been a member of the Patara excavation team since 2003 and is an associate professor of archaeology at Akdeniz University in Antalya. His research focuses on pottery, commercial amphorae and stamps, and late classical to early Hellenistic defense and domestic architecture in ancient Lycia. He earned his Ph.D. at Akdeniz University in Antalya. He has been working as a field supervisor at the Tepecik Settlement at Patara since 2013. His current projects include a study of continuity, change, or transformation in daily life during the Hecatomnids, Diadochoi, and Ptolemaic possessions in Patara.
Faculty Member of Antalya Bilim University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture
He received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Johannes Gutenberg University. He worked as a researcher at the same university and lectured at the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum in Mainz. He continues to work at Antalya Bilim University. He has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Patara Excavations since 2011. His current research focuses on ancient architecture and late antique architectural practices.
Izmir Democracy University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Archaeology
Feyzullah ŞAHİN, who holds a bachelor's degree in archaeology from Ege University, completed his master's thesis titled “Patara Metal Finds” and his doctoral thesis titled “Patara Architectural Decorations (4th-5th century B.C.)” at Akdeniz University. He participated in the Antandros excavations between 2003-2008. He has been a member of the Scientific Committee of Patara Excavations since 2009. Feyzullah ŞAHİN worked at the Archaeology Department of Akdeniz University between 2009-2017 and is continuing his studies at the Archaeology Department of Izmir Democracy University. He has conducted the excavations of Patara's urban water distribution systems, the Late Antique 9th Bastion Fortification and the Grave Church Cemetery. His general areas of interest are ancient architecture, metal findings and water supply-distribution systems.
Anadolu University Faculty of Letters, Department of Archaeology
She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Anadolu University and her Ph.D. at Akdeniz University. She has been a member of the Scientific Committee of Patara Excavations since 2005. Between 2005 and 2008, she worked as an assistant in the Harbour Baths excavations, and in 2009 she took over the field supervision of the Waterway Excavations and in 2010 the Harbour Baths Excavations. She specializes in ancient architecture and sculpture.
Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster / Forschungsstelle Asia Minor
Klaus Zimmermann has been Professor of Ancient History at the University of Münster since 2009, where he heads the Forschungsstelle Asia Minor. Ch. Schuler and A. Lepke, he has been working on inscriptions from Patara for more than ten years. Greek epigraphy and the history and culture of ancient Asia Minor are among Zimmermann's main areas of interest, and he also conducts important research on the history of religions and ancient geography.

Patara excavations Arkeolog
He graduated from Tekirdağ-Saray Anatolian High School in 2004 and started his education at Akdeniz University, Department of Archaeology in 2005. He completed his master's thesis on a group of sculptures found in the excavations of Perge and his Ph.D. on the altars of Patara in 2023. Since 2008, he has been working in different areas of the Patara excavations.
